Closure of Cambridge Sports & Exercise Medicine Unit
Peter Wilson Sports Injury Clinic
The Primary Care Trust (PCT) has instructed the Director of the Cambridge Sports & Exercise Medicine Unit must close due to lack of funding. The clinic will not re-open after the Easter Holiday period.
If you have suffered an acute injury whilst playing sport then you must either see your GP or go to the Accident & Emergency department at Addenbrookes.
The clinic can list 175 different sports associated with injury in Cambridge Since 1996 has seen 10,300 patients, has seen over 480 different types of injuries. Has produced a number of papers for publication from research work from within the unit and trained a number of staff over many years.
